Applications for the Veterinary Technology Program are due Saturday, March 1.
The Automotive Repair Technology program provides a proper balance of theory and practical knowledge for students preparing for careers in the automotive service industry.
The curriculum emphasizes laboratory diagnostic procedures in both domestic and foreign engines, electrical systems, transmissions, drive trains, suspension systems, computerized control systems, and electronic fuel control systems. Students will be prepared to take and expected to pass Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification tests in order to qualify for the work experience internship. Students will be placed in automotive dealerships and automotive repair businesses during the last semester of the program in order to gain on-the-job experience.
Graduates of the program may become employed as automotive mechanic technicians, transmission specialists, service managers, or service writers in automotive dealerships and automotive repair businesses.

Dozens of stuffed animals are now healthier after visiting the Teddy Bear Hospital at Black Hawk College.
The 2024 Stampede Auction of Champion Pumpkins at Black Hawk College raised $6,075 for the Kewanee Area United Way. The Oct. 23 event at the East Campus brought generous BHC students, employees, retirees and alumni together to open up their wallets for a good cause.
